Tennis lessons for beginners and advanced players
Ran Kouris began his tennis career at the age of 3 at the first Israeli tennis club in Ramat Gan, the same club where the Israeli Davis Cup Team used to train.
At the age of 6 he attended is first competition while he still didn’t know how to keep count of game score.
A year later he won a tournament for children up to the age of 9.
This tournament was only the beginning of the road for Ran – he remained the Israeli tennis champion until he turned 18.
Ran Kouris is the first Israeli tennis player who at this young age achieved ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) points and took part in international competitions.
The highlight of his career occurred at the age of 16. He was summoned to train and play with the Israeli Davis Cup team which included Amos Mansdorf and other elite players.
He also trained and competed with Gustavo Kuerten from Brazil (world’s number 1), Magnus Norman from Sweden (world’s number 7), Tim Henman from the UK (world’s number 5), Mark Philippoussis (world’s top 10), Giorgio Galimberti, Nicolas Escude and many more.
Among Ran’s most outstanding achievements:
-Ran took 8th place at the European Championship for juniors (age 16) after losing in the third set to the future great player Magnus Norman from Sweden. At the same championship he took 2nd place in the doubles game.
Ran took part in the training of Israeli players such Noam Behr, Andy Ram and Yoni Erlich. He also trained the Serbian player Novak Djokovic, currently world’s number 1, Marat Safin who was world’s number 1 and also Zverev, who was ranked number 50 in the world.
Based on his experience as a tennis player and coach, Ran has prepared a training program which suits beginners and advanced players.
